Online Meeting with Representatives of the UzbekСosmos Agency

On 10 February 2026, an online meeting was held between experts and specialists of SIC ICWC and representatives of the UzbekСosmos Agency. The meeting focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in the scientific and educational spheres.

During the meeting, the parties discussed potential topics for advanced training courses for SIC ICWC staff, as well as prospects for joint research on water resources and ecosystem.

As a result of the discussions, the following agreements were reached:

1. Organization of advanced training courses for SIC ICWC staff at the UzbekCosmos Agency on the following topics:

• Methods for calculating reservoir volume based on satellite observations;
• Cloud removal technologies in satellite image analysis;
• Existing methods for determining water levels using optical satellite imagery.

2. Joint applied research projects aimed at improving the efficiency of water management and enhancing environmental monitoring systems. These initiatives will be further developed by specialists from both organizations in due course.

3. Organization of joint events in 2026 at the SIC ICWC Training Center. The meeting was important for strengthening the partnership between SIC ICWC and the UzbekCosmos Agency and laid the groundwork for further cooperation in applying space technologies to address water management and environmental issues.
