SIC ICWC took part in the 92nd World Water Council Board of Governors Meeting

The World Water Council (WWC) convened its 92nd Board of Governors meeting in a virtual format on 24 February.

The meeting focused on the agenda and progress updates regarding the 11th World Water Forum, scheduled for March 21–25, 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The upcoming Forum will be held under the theme: "Action for a Better Tomorrow."

The Forum organizers announced the 2nd Stakeholder Consultation meeting, which will take place on April 8–9, 2026 in Jeddah, alongside Saudi Water Week. The meeting aims to refine the political, thematic, and regional processes of the Forum, strengthen coordination between them, and discuss expected outcomes. The organizers called upon the Board and all WWC members to take an active part in the meeting to shape a substantive and effective agenda for the Forum.

The meeting was attended by WWC Board members from SIC ICWC: D. Ziganshina and O. Usmanova. The next Board meeting will be held in person in Saudi Arabia on the eve of the Second Stakeholder Consultation meeting.
