SIC ICWC takes part in the 93rd Board of Governors Meeting of the World Water Council

The 93rd Board of Governors meeting of the World Water Council (WWC) was held online on June 3, 2026.

During the meeting, members of the Board reviewed the Council's current activities and discussed preparations for the 11th World Water Forum, scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027. Attention was also paid to the upcoming 2nd Stakeholder Consultation Meeting. This meeting represents a key milestone in the preparatory process for the 11th World Water Forum and will be held on June 28–29, 2026, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will bring together members of the international water community to shape the Forum’s agenda and foster collaboration on joint solutions to pressing global water challenges.

The WWC activity report also highlighted a recent meeting with the Uzbek delegation on the sidelines of an event in Istanbul. Discussions focused on the ways to boost Uzbekistan's engagement with the World Water Council and expand cooperation, in particular through participation in the preparatory process for the 11th World Water Forum, showcasing national and regional expertise in water cooperation and strengthening dialogue with the international water community.
