86th WWC BOARD OF GOVERNORS’ MEETING
SIC ICWC in the face of its Director Dinara Ziganshina participated in the 86th WWC Board of Governors’ meeting in Istanbul on 17-18 February.
The Board of Governors considered and discussed progress on task forces and current activities of the Council. The preparation to the 10th World Water Forum to be held in Indonesia in May 2024 was presented as well. Further, the Governors of the World Water Council have elected Saudi Arabia and Riyadh as the host for the 11th World Water Forum in 2027. Saudi Arabia and Riyadh plan to host the 11th World Water Forum on the theme "Action for a Better Future". In the course of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was also signed between the World Water Council and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey.è.
The next 87th Board meeting will be held in-person in Bali, Indonesia shortly before the Forum.
