3rd SATREPS JOINT COORDINATING COMMITTEE WORKSHOP
The 3rd SATREPS Joint Coordinating Committee Workshop was held in Tashkent on 24 January 2025.
The purpose of this event was presenting the SATREPS research results for 2024.
The SATREPS program is promoting international joint research with the goal of resolving global issues as one aspect of "science and technology diplomacy," which connects science and technology with diplomacy for the mutual advancement of both.
SIC ICWC conducts research as part of the SATREPS project "Adaptation of a modern system for water and land resources monitoring and water balance (water requirement) modeling in the conditions of the Aral Sea region with a view of combating salinization and increasing land productivity. Adaptation of water planning to climatic and hydrogeological changes".
SIC ICWC was represented by Galina Stulina, Javlon Ishanov, Ruslan Sherkhodjaev, and consultant Georgiy Solodkiy.
Mrs. Stulina reported on the adaptation of the modern system of water and land monitoring and on modeling of water balance (crop water requirements) in the context of the Aral Sea region.
