Launch of a two-volume book on the history of Kazakhstan's water sector by Nariman Kipshakbayev
The two-volume publication authored by Nariman Kipshakbayev—a veteran of the water sector, renowned hydraulic engineer, and former water minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan was launched. His monumental work, titled "The Water Sector in Kazakhstan: Formation, Development, and Challenges", represents the culmination of his 70 years of professional experience. The publication was made possible with the support of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This comprehensive two-volume edition provides an in-depth analysis of legislative documents and materials related to water management in Kazakhstan, spanning over a century. Although the book is primarily aimed at water professionals and individuals interested in the history of water management, it also highlights the importance of raising public awareness of the need for sound water use. In this context, the lifelong contribution of Mr. Kipshakbayev to the field is of exceptional significance.


At 91 years of age, the esteemed author continues his work—currently preparing a textbook designed to educate hydraulic engineers.
