SIC ICWC hosted a group of students from Germany

On 4 September, the SIC ICWC had a meeting with a group of 30 students and faculty from Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (Germany) at the premises of the Regional Training Center.

The visit took place as part of their study tour to Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the visitors learned about the activities of the SIC ICWC, the water distribution and use in the Amu Darya and Syr Darya basins, modern approaches to addressing water scarcity, as well as the current situation in the Aral Sea region and the measures taken to improve it.

The students specializing in ecology and spatial planning highlighted the importance of the visit for gaining a deeper understanding of water management and the environmental situation in Central Asia. Professors from Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University expressed their interest in developing cooperation and implementing joint scientific projects with the SIC ICWC.
